Testing - What to Look For

My CBD Solutions earns our partners' confidence by testing for what is in our CBD extract (cannabinoid and terpene profiles) and what is absent. Consumers are savvier than ever, and they want to know the product in their hands has been thoroughly tested. That is why we request our 3rd party screening panel include analysis for the presence of mold, mildew, and fungus, heavy metal & elemental analyses, residual solvent (VOC) testing, and pesticide testing.

Heavy Metal Screening

This screening confirms that an extract is free of heavy metal contamination. This portion of the report measures heavy metals like arsenic, cadmium, mercury, and lead against allowable limits.

Microbiology & Mycotoxin Screening

The microbiology portion of this screening will verify that the raw material is free of any microbes such as yeast, mold, E-coli, and salmonella. Mycotoxin testing will reveal the material does not contain any toxic substances caused by fungus.

Pesticide Screening

This screening is relevant for any product that begins as an agricultural material. Hemp farmers have the same challenges in the fields that most farmers experience. Dangers include damage or contamination from pests. This screening shows that the farm used organic pest control methods, and harvest has not been exposed to dangerous pesticides.

Screening for Residual Solvents (a.k.a. Volatile Organic Compounds)

We feel confident that, based on the available science, extraction methods that use chemical solvents can add potential hazards. We choose to screen for any solvent residue to confirm that only clean extraction methods were used.

3rd Party Testing

Our test results, also known as a Certificate of Analysis, are from a reputable independent, third-party laboratory that is fully accredited.

Batch Level Testing

Every finished product receives batch level testing. This ensures we have fully disclosed the amount of CBD for the product in hand. Batch results are performed in our laboratory by our Senior Chemist with use of the same instruments and testing methods.
